Why the “new” update?

You got us! Market Trends is not entirely new, this feature was already available in the comparables section.

But your feedback led us to look into how we could make this feature more usable, more valuable, and offer even more context to you and by extension, your customers.

We want Market Trends to:

• Help you stay on top of market dynamics,
• Add to your expert knowledge of properties in neighbourhoods where you sell,
• Be a key resource in helping you build your pricing strategy,
• Be your reference point when analysing the market at large,
• Corroborate your decisions,
• Aid you in educating your clients about the current market situation, and,
• Ensure that your clients’ next real estate decision is informed and based on exclusive data and insights.

On top of that, we wanted Market Trends to be usable, easy-to-understand, and easy to interpret.

This release is the first step towards building Market Trends to do just that!

Old vs new

As mentioned earlier, Market Trends is not new, it was previously located in comparables. The first thing we’ve done is make Market Trends accessible –– it’s now available directly from your sidebar for quick reference.

Next, we’ve given the graphs you love a facelift, which includes more space in the UI (that’s tech-speak for making them full-screen). Bigger graphs equals better readability. In addition to that, we’ve massively improved the look-and-feel of our line graphs, and this update helps better visualise data so that you can identify trends.

We’ve upgraded the way our graphs give you analytical information. You can now filter all graphs by number of rooms, net living area and postal code. To illustrate this think about how the old Market Trends had separate graphs for price distribution overall, by number of rooms and by living area. This information can easily be seen in the new Market Trends when you apply the relevant filters.

On top of that we’ve given you the ability to apply filters to individual graphs; you can choose a timeframe or whether you’d like to toggle and see your information visualised by price or by price/m2. This is a big improvement from the old Market Trends, where all filters were automatically applied to all graphs. Our new Market Trends gives you rich information on a monthly view, ensuring that you get only the freshest info.

The new Market Trends is a work-in-progress

We’ve released Market Trends in Beta. Beta means that we feel that its ready for you to test out and get a feeling for but we are still working on it. In the coming weeks, expect to see Market Trends continuously improve and gain additional functionality.

But you can play a key role in shaping the Market Trends final product… How? By giving us your input and feedback! Let us know what you like, what you dislike, what we can do to help you use it more. Also let us know what’s missing and what needs to be improved.

We’ve made the process of giving feedback as easy as possible, simply click on the purple circle next to Market Trends (see image below) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Deprecation is planned, but not yet

In future, once the new Market Trends becomes the Market Trends, we will remove the old version from our product. For now, you can still access both the old and the new Market Trends.

Add Market Trends to your PDFs and client-facing materials

Because they look great! But the new Market Trends will not automatically be included in your PDFs. You have the freedom to choose which version you’d like to share. If you’d like to add the new Market Trends to your PDFs, there are two ways to do so:

1. By clicking on Export PDF report from the options menu, selecting one of the PriceHubble templates (Appraisal or Brochure) then manually clicking on New Market Trends.
2. By updating your templates in PDF settings so that new Market Trends are included (note: if you are not an account administrator, you may need to ask your admin to update this for you).

You can also share the new Market Trends within a full-dossier. However, if you give your customers the option to download a PDF from a full-dossier, the new Market Trends will not be added to the PDF when you choose to use a PriceHubble template. So be sure to choose one of your own or your company templates (which has been updated) so that the new Market Trends will be shared.

The new Market Trends is also not yet available via property pages but this is high up on our priority list!
